ETHConf Startup Battle is a global qualifier network where best Web3 startups compete regionally for a chance to showcase at ETHConf. We're looking for 10–15 exceptional startups with booths at Startup Stage area.

Please read all rules carefully before applying
Startups must apply from their respective regional qualifier. Applications from outside your region of operation will not be considered. Regional qualifiers are organized by geographic location (USA East, USA West, Canada, LatAm, UK + Ireland, DACH, Rest of Europe, Middle East, Africa, India, SEA, East Asia).
Your startup must have raised less than $10M total funding (including non-dilutive grants and equity financing). Startups that have raised $10M or more are not eligible to participate.
Your startup must be at Pre-Seed, Seed, or Series A stage. Startups beyond Series A are not eligible unless they meet the funding criteria and are within 5 years of founding.
Your startup must have been founded within the last 5 years. Startups founded before 2020 are not eligible to participate.
Startups that have previously won an ETHConf Startup Battle competition (regional or global finals) are not eligible to participate again.
Startups that participated in past editions but did not win any regional or national heats may reapply.
Your startup must provide a complete pitch deck with view access and a demo video (max 3 minutes, strongly encouraged). All materials must showcase your original product or service.
If selected for regional finals, your startup must be able to perform a live pitch presentation. The designated pitch person must be available for in-person participation at regional events and at ETHConf.
Startups must be available for in-person participation at regional qualifier events in their local city/region, and if selected as finalists, must attend ETHConf in person. Virtual participation is not permitted for final rounds.
All finalists must have a valid ETHConf ticket. You may purchase a ticket after being selected, but ticket purchase is mandatory for participation in the final showcase.
Startups must cover their own travel expenses for regional qualifier events. Regional sponsors may provide travel stipends for ETHConf, but this is not guaranteed. Accommodation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.
All team members participating in person must have valid travel documents. For international travel to ETHConf, passports must be valid for at least six months before the intended departure date. Visa requirements depend on your country of origin and destination.
ETHConf provides booth space at the Startup Stage area. Finalists are responsible for booth setup, materials, and staffing during the 3-day event. ETHConf will provide basic infrastructure and power.
Selected startups will receive demo theater presentation slots. Presentation times and formats will be coordinated by the ETHConf team. All presentations must be original content showcasing your product or service.
All finalists must participate in mandatory pitch training sessions organized by ETHConf. These sessions are designed to help you prepare for the live pitch competition.
There is no maximum team size, but at least one founding team member must be present at all required events. The designated pitch person must be available for all pitch sessions.
Each participating team member is allowed to bring one guest to ETHConf. Guest passes are limited and must be requested in advance. Additional guests may be accommodated based on availability.
Applications are evaluated by a panel of 5 judges (2 investors, 2 operators, 1 technical reviewer). Selection committee decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
ETHConf may review unusual activity and exclude fraudulent entries. All applications are subject to verification of provided information.
